Welcome back everyone for the 2008-2009 Dance Season!
Classes Begin Monday, September 15th

8TH-12TH.
**But first a special note to everyone who hopes and hopes to see Salsa/Latin
and Ballroom.
We are still looking for an instructor for this coming season. We will update
you as we have more information.
DVD's:
DVD's from "All You Need is Love" will be available for p/u during
the week of September 8th-12th 1:00-5:00pm!
There are a few extra copies coming if you forgot to order in June let us
know:)
Programs at Soul Funktion:
Attached is our upcoming 2008-2009 confirmed schedule.
2 1/2 to 3 years - Preschool Dance (offering Boys class)
4 years - Preschool Dance and Jazz/Tap Combo Class (offering Boys class)
5 years - Ballet (Pre-Primary), Tap and Jazz
6 years - Ballet (Primary for New Students and Grade 1 for returning students),
Tap, Jazz and Breakdance
7 - 9 years - Ballet (Grade 2&3), Tap, Jazz, Breakdance and Street Jazz
(NEW),
10-12 years - Ballet (Grade 4), Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, Breakdance and Street Jazz
(NEW)
13 + years - Ballet (Grade 5 and +), Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, Breakdance and Street
Jazz (NEW)
Adult - Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tech Jazz and Hiphop
Private/Semi Private Vocal Coaching, DJ and Guitar Lessons -
Ages 8 and up (an exception may be considered based upon maturity and interest
level of child)
Group Music Classes Guitar and Djembe (Drumming) Lessons
What is Street Jazz?
It can best be described as a combination of funky Hiphop steps mixed with
Jazz technique.
Choreography is set to today's current pop music.
Outside SF Programs:
This year we will continue to have programs in Pemberton through the Pemberton
Community Centre. We will also continue our Dance Sampler for new students
ages 5 - 9 yrs at Myrtle Philip Community School.

REGISTRATION WEEK:
SEPTEMBER 8TH-12TH 1:00-5:00PM
Parents must accompany students under the age of 18 to registration to complete
all necessary forms.
Ensure to bring your chosen form of payment to complete registration. (Soul
Funktion accepts Visa, Mastercard, Cash or Cheque)
How you can help new students joining Soul Funktion:
If you would like to clean out your closets and any dance wear that is in
good condition lets resell it! Place each item you would like to sell in a
clear ziploc bag, label the bag with your name and phone number. Bring in
items on Monday, September 1st to Soul Funktion!
Dance Shoes, Bodysuits, shorts, accessories can all be reused!
Soul Funktion will price shoes from $5-$30, shorts $5-10, bodysuits $5-20
Families will be able to pick up unsold items or payment during the first
week of classes from the SF office.
