Year End Show

The Soul Funktion 2010 Year End Show will take place June 11-13 at Millennium Place.

Costume Etiquette (for Dress Rehearsal June 9 and each of the Shows)

We have many, many dancers getting ready and waiting downstairs at My Placee during the Year-End Show.  In order for things to run smoothly, please follow these guidelines:

* Dancers should change into costumes once they arrive at MY Place
* Please do not eat or drink in or near costumes
* Keep the change area neat and tidy – use the garbage cans provided
* Be sure to gather all your belongings before leaving
* No junk food - bring healthy snacks and drink water; please no chewing gum
* Dancers are to arrive to MY Place at the scheduled time with their hair and makeup done

Costume Organization

Please organize your costumes in a labelled garment bag with labelled ziplock bags attached to the corresponding costume hangers.  There should be one ziplock bag for each dance (ie. Ballet, Tap, Hiphop, etc).  Each bag should contain the smaller costume pieces (tights, shoes, headbands, barrettes, scrunchies, etc.), all individually labelled, for that particular dance.  This will help your child and the volunteers help keep track of the costume pieces, especially if your child is in a number of dances or involved in Quick Changes.

Dancers must bring all costume pieces already in their possession to the Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, June 9 at MY Place and then to each of the shows.  (If you are unsure of what you have already received, please refer to your child’s dance in the spreadsheets attached to Email #17: Costume Lists which describes what has been received and what is yet to be received.)  Your child may receive costume pieces at the Tech Rehearsal and/or at the Dress Rehearsal.  Remember that there will be group and individual photos taken at the Dress Rehearsal so wear your new tights, have full makeup and show hair done.

Take good care of all costume pieces - clean and hanging in your garment bag.

Please do not wear your costumes to and from MY Place.  Dancers should carry costumes to MY Place and then change into costumes at MY Place.  After the show, dancers should change out of their costumes before leaving.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR HELPING WITH THIS!
